Understanding

"Do we have an understanding, Miss Sullivan?"

Chloe nodded. Standing close, she raised her chin so Lionel Luthor could kiss her.

It was a grown-up kiss. Experienced. Warm. Nothing like Sean's clumsiness or Justin's eagerness or Ian's lies. Champagne, not kool-aid. Fingers trickled over her breast, promising mysteries.

Unlike Clark, Lionel wanted her.

Goose-bumps spread over her skin. On tiptoe, she clutched his shoulders, muscle under tweed, powerful. Clark's gentle strength was safe. This could sweep her away like a twig in a stream.

How dangerous could Lionel be? He was thirty years older and tasted like everything she'd ever wanted. There would be a price, she just didn't know what.

She would never know, until too late.

"Miss Sullivan?" he repeated.

She had forgotten the question, but had only one answer. "Yes." Yes, yes, yes.

He smiled. "Yes. We understand each other now."

Heh - my icon is worried about Chloe, who used to be such a *nice* girl.

Who is Sean? I don't remember.

Justin was the telekinetic artist guy, right? And Ian could split himself into two, but I can't place Sean.

Sean Kelvin

Sean was the guy in "Cool", back in first season, who was trying to take Chloe out - he was a real pig. Froze anyone he touched, including a girlfriend. Clark saved Chloe in the nick of time, and threw Sean into Lex's lake, which has presumably been a skating rink ever since.

Okay, I remember now. That seems a long time ago.

And LOL!! Is his name really Sean Kelvin? That's funny - I wonder if the writers were being funny and naming him after Lord Kelvin (of the Kelvin temperature scale). Absolute zero = 0 degrees Kelvin. :)

It was a long time ago - early first season.

Yeah, I think his name is hilarious, and I have no doubt it was deliberate. (Just as I'm sure that Eric Summers' name was a veiled reference to X-Men).

So glad you liked it! Yes, I love the combination of Chloe and Lionel. I'd write more if only I had a plot.

I've been denying the Chlionel because... well, I secretly ADORE Chloe and Lionel will just destroy her. But but but! I can't *not* find this squickily HOT. And now I'm so confused, because I *want* this to happen, I want MORE! Hee!

I want more too. Don't know if I could write it in a real story, though - or how I'd resolve it - I have to admit, I'd like to try!
