Captain John and Martha Jones came face to face in the Hub. It was one of Captain Jack's worse nightmares.

"Well, hello, gorgeous," said John with a bright smile. "Who are you and why has Jack kept you hidden from me?"

"Martha Jones. Torchwood's Doctor."

"I'm Jack's boyfriend."

"Ex," said Jack, with strained patience. "Very ex."

"Jack protests too much," said John, kissing Martha's fingers. "Come with me, my love, and we can travel together through space and time."

"Been there, done that, saved it all," said Martha cheerfully. "Are you the psychopath?"

"Only on Mondays."

"Liar," growled Jack, unamused.
