The Ten Sexiest Moments in Torchwood

These are ... not set in stone. And it's very subjective, but it's fun to think about. I'd love to hear other people's choices, even just their top three.

10. Naked hide and seek in the Hothouse. Not because of the semi-nudity and groping, or even because of the sexy dialogue, though that doesn't hurt. Mostly because of the cute smile on Ianto's face when he's talking to Gwen, because he's been having such a good time. ("Adrift")

9. Jack teaching Gwen Cooper to aim a gun. ("Ghost Machine")

8. Captain Jack and Captain John meet, kiss, and fight. ("Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang")

7. Gwen kisses Carys. ("Day One")

6. Toshiko kisses Mary - the kiss in the restaurant, when Toshiko blushes and looks so happy and shy. ("Greeks Bearing Gifts")

5. Ianto propositions Jack over the corpse of Suzie. And Jack's wonderful smile. ("They Keep Killing Suzie")

4. Jack smiles to remember the Doctor, and then tells Ianto he came back for "you - all of you". ("Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang")

3. Ianto tells Jack that he gave his life meaning, and Jack kisses Ianto's forehead . ("Adam")

2. The two Captain Jacks kiss before parting. ("Captain Jack Harkness")

1. Jack smiles when he hears the TARDIS. ("End of Days")

Ooh yes yes :D I'd be torn to not include though the 'Something Borrowed' discussion that went from Gwen's wedding dress to kinky, kinky thoughts on Ianto's part about his innate ability to guess measurements with just his eyes~

I will illustrate my top two, in no order.



Fragments. Oh my God, their lips close enough to drink each other's breath; the hesitation; Ianto's desire, fear, and endorphins; Jack surprising himself... GAH.



The moment between the hug and the kiss in End of Days. This always strikes me as a beautifully raw moment. Raised from the dead, Jack holds Ianto like a treasure, cradling his head, and look how he's looking at Ianto's lips. And look at Ianto, so recently bereaved, looking into Jack's eyes like he's seeing a miracle.

And that one: so angsty, so conflicted at that point - at least where Ianto was concerned.

Hmm, can't say I'd argue with many of those, possibly #9, because while I think TPTB were trying to play it as a sexy charged moment, I don't think it came across very well.

I would have definitely included the kiss in To the last man. Not just because it was a (very!) hot kiss, but also because of the lead in to it, where Jack has effectively told Ianto that he is somebody he wouldn't change for the world.

I'd also have included the hug in End of Days, possibly because I find a full body contact hug like that to be almost more intimate than a kiss. (and if it wasn't for the context, I'd also include the hug in Adam, just before Ianto tells Jack he's a monster)

And then there's the Tosh and Tommy having fun scenes, before they're called back to the Hub. When just for a day, everything seems to be perfect for them, and then of course, this being Torchwood, everything goes to hell.

Really? Probably it's because I find both Jack and Gwen sexy; that scene is super-charged for me. I wish we'd seen the same thing with Jack and Ianto, too.

A lovely scene. I considered it, but it didn't make my list. Basically it lost to the forehead-kiss, which I find hotter and sweeter. There's something emotionally perplexing about the TTLM kiss for me that I can't quite put my finger not. Not that it isn't a wonderful kiss! It just doesn't have (for me) the same emotional satisfaction.

Lovely, but the scenes don't seem sexy to me - maybe because I didn't much like Tommy. No, that isn't right. I liked him fine. But he didn't quite have what I was looking for - the thing Tosh always has. It might be simply that he seemed too young to push my buttons. I'd have enjoyed the episode more if I'd found Tommy more appealing.
