Walking home from the bus stop today after work, I took out my camera and snapped things that caught my eye. It seemed to me that today's weather gave things a certain unusual look - snow overlying flowers and autumn leaves. I wanted to record it before things change, and they will of course, change daily, at least for a while.

My photos:
  1. Walking Down Third Avenue

  2. Garden in the Snow

  3. Snow Tree

  4. Maple Leaves

  5. Geraniums under snow

  6. The Red Bush

  7. Unlit Lights

What a lovely snowfall! I love the red bush against the snow.

Those are some seriously hard-ass geraniums!

My favorite is Garden in the Snow - the white snow on the colorful leaves.

The Maple leaves are a wonderful colour. We had snow in London, too, or rather snow for five seconds before it turned to grey sludge, so not as pretty as were you were. Lovely photos.

And probably not as cold as we are, either. Brrr! Snapping photos without my gloves made my fingers numb. But it was worth it.

Love the red leaves in the snow - looks lovely!
Aw, snow. I keep my fingers crossed that we get some decent snow this year, not just cold, wet, rainy and grey... I much more prefer cold, sunny and snowy. Even if driving is more difficult then.

I'm hoping we don't get a lot of snow this year. Last year was excessive. But there isn't much a person can do about it anyway - the weather is the weather.

The snow didn't melt at all, and this morning was excessively cold.

I think it's my favourite, too.

Those geraniums are amazingly tough hardy Canadian geraniums who scoff at winter weather. They should be wearing red toques and drinking beer.

Actually I'm not 100% sure they are geraniums, but I think they are, almost 99% sure, and I thought it better to call them that than "red flowers". (The problem is not with my ability to identify flowers, but to remember what I saw when I was snapping the photo.)
