Boy, did I have to read this over more than twice!... I've never been a big slash fan.... snicker.
Flash was not like the other comic characters, to me. He was someone I could try to someday be like, literally. A very hands-on bit of wishful thinking. I liked the Legion and the other team books (Teen Titans, also a main favorite) mainly because of the group-inclusion thing, with how everyone was accepted and welcome and all that. Which was something I didn't have.
I will take a photo of Green Lantern Lane next time I'm in Frostburg. Hee.
Red is something I can't deal with. It sometimes seems to strike me just as unwanted light sources do -- too much sensory input. Blues are much more patient and undemanding and unobtrusive. Funny, I dearly love a flame-tones brilliant yellow-orange -- but cannot tolerate red, not really. However, if you look good in it and enjoy wearing it, I can more than tolerate it. The person is more than the color. Your energy changes the red to something not too-harsh. If you can grok that.
