It's easy to imagine a runner becoming a fan of The Flash - or a person taking up running because they enjoy the stories.
My friend Pat did something sort of like that. He's an archer. Has been doing it for years, has all sorts of marksmanship trophies. He's also a fan of Green Arrow. I don't know which came first - did he take up archery because he loved the comics or did he love the comic because he was into archery?
