I suppose it becomes a sort of moot point when the object is a demon who comes alive and terrorizes the world. Demons are sort of ageless, right? Hmm, interesting point: are they organic enough for carbon-dating? What are they made of? Does Hell, of the Demon-world, or Dimension, or whatever, contain the same kind of physical matter (and physics) as our Earth?
I suspect Joss Whedon is not going to tell me the answers.
