I don't know how maaseru persuaded me to let her take my ghastly picture in this ghastly hospital bed in this ghastly hospital gown, but at least it will prove that I am too enfeebled to have any judgement at all.

They say I can go home tomorrow. We hope it's true. Whatever happens, I won't step on my right foot for six weeks at least. Maaboroshi brought me a Buffy book and a magazine with pictures of Torchwood. I am happy.

Also happy to be reading "Dreams of the Day" by Mary Dixon Russell - after a fashion. The fashion is, I read a few pages, sleep a few hours, read a few pages, sleep a few more hours....

So maaseru and maaboroshi are visiting by my hospital bed and we are, for some unexplainable reason, discussing John Barrowman's bits.

Now they are playing with the bed control mechanisms and I will probably shoot out the window like a slingshot.

Note from maaseru: I think she looks very nice and not ghastly at all. She did not get shot out the window. Good night to all.

Good to hear you sounding perky! Now I guess we have to figure out a way of getting JB over there to personally help you with your physio... Well, he will be coming to Canada in a matter of weeks for that Maria thing, right!

Although you can take heart in the fact that the icon is so small it's hard to discern anything much other than the honking big cast on your foot!

I'm glad you're at least awake, and thank goodness for those morphine-based drugs. Sleep is good, and now you have an excuse. I'm sure John Barrowman is thrilled about your discussing his bits, since he's all too happy to show them to all and sundry.

Will you have someone at home to help you, at least a couple of hours a day? It's really important. I was on crutches about a year and a half, and it was some of the dumbest things that were hard to do, like bending over to get things out of the clothes washer/dryer. I also took my cell phone into the bathroom in case of mishaps on the tiles.

I do believe discussing some favored 'bits' is always a good start on the long road to healing. :)

Pauvre minou! Mal à la patte!

How many years have people been telling city hall that Ottawa ice is really dangerous?

Mind, John Barrowman's parts, eh? Don't sound *that* ill to me. :-)

Here I was wondering what I should say other than GIT WHALE SOONS and you have me laughing at the image of you shooting through the window. (hopefully not cast first)

Also: Studies prove discussing The Barrowman's bits heals bones quicker. No. Really. Or it was something about bones...maybe boners? At any rate, take it easy and miss you!

Glad to hear you're conscious and lucid! ;-)

Seriously, though, it sounds like you're doing as well as can be expected, all things considered. I hope the bones heal fast and properly and you're back taking long walks in record time!

(((hugs)))

Any person's allure is enhanced by the application of plaster. Aerodynamic qualities, on the other hand, are likely to suffer. It's one of those close-a-door, open-a-window things.

Though in this case I imagine you'd prefer the window come equipped with some variety of safety net.

Hey, sorry to hear about your ankle. I am glad that you are now on the road to recovery, safely in bed (flying out the window sounds like a bad plan) and I hope you have lots of good books to read, people visiting at a reasonable pace and a really smooth recovery.

...the suround story to Borders of Infinity seems appropriate just now.

Oh, you look gorgeous. Really. The cast is quite attractive. So glad to hear you are doing well and will be going home. I haven't told Tom yet since he's been out of town but I expect we'll be sending you a little something.

At least everybody playing with the bed controls didn't result in you being folded up like an origami crane.
