the weak spot that was once open is usually more likely to give.
Sure. Ongoing danger builds, climaxes, defuses, builds again... It gives them closure and continuance at the same time. Sort of like real life.
He has a lot of good lines in this ep.
He does indeed.
But think how much better this ep is from some of the first eps on S1.
Yes. Pretty much infinitely better.
