No, really, I can kind of relate. I'm not sure what it is about Darla, but... she has a lot of integrity as a character. She is the 'real' vampire in contrast to Angel the conlicted vampire. She has strengths of her own.
I think that's it exactly. I'm drawn to her the same way I'm drawn to Christian on Nip/Tuck - she is who she is without apology, without feeling the need to be something different or make excuses for her past. It's intriguing.
