Heh. I still don't really like Angel himself - something about David Boreanaz continues to put me off - but it hardly matters, in the excellent depiction of the character.
I certainly have no argument with Xander being realistic. He is. This doesn't exactly work in his favour.
I really did fall in love with Darla. ... I even play her on a game now.
Should I worry?
No, really, I can kind of relate. I'm not sure what it is about Darla, but... she has a lot of integrity as a character. She is the 'real' vampire in contrast to Angel the conlicted vampire. She has strengths of her own.
As for the Master... he's more of a plot point than a full, rounded character
Yeah. He's sort of a ... a catalyst for things to happen. I find him totally pointless but don't mind sleeping through his scenes until I can wake up and pay attention to the other characters again.
