Boxing Day...

Boxing Day is one of the best holidays ever invented.

Ideally, it gives us a chance to clean up from Christmas. Relax a little. Put the pressies away. Write the thank-you notes. That sort of thing.

In reality, it gives us time to visit the folks we didn't get to see on Christmas Day. And to be really, really happy we don't have to be back at work today.

It's a wonderful tradition.

Truly excellent. I had a very enjoyable lunch with a friend and hope to see my daughter this evening. A day to recuperate is good.
