Interesting: the quiz automatically pasted this into LJ for me. Next I won't even have to type anything any more.

I wish there was a quiz that would fit me into the Torchwood team.

I got this from [livejournal.com profile] moonchildetoo this time, though I'm sure I've done it before, probably - hopefully? - with the same result. I wonder why I scored high for Serenity and low for Bebop? - I don't see them as being very different.

The rest of those crews? No way I'd want to join them!

Yes, I think Torchwood would be most you.

I was looking at the movie listings for Saturday in the local TV Times tonight, and saw an interview w/John Barrowman there promoting Torchwood on CBC! Maybe this means a few more listeners -- although I'm peeved at them hiding the story at the back. I pulled it out & saved it for you.

When anyone asks me what I'm writing for NaNo this year, I tell them Firefly with dragons.

Unsurprisingly, considering how badly it did as a series, everyone totally understands that description.

Also unsurprisingly, I come out Serenity too.

Although I had no expectations, I was surprised to end up with Nebuchadnezzar (The Matrix) with 94%. I can't remember enough of this movie to know who that was. Three-way tie for the next universes: SG-1, Farscape, and Babylon 5, so no surprises there.

Nebuchadnezzar! Well, it wasn't very pretty, but but it was interesting enough. I remember heads being plugged into gadgets.

SG-1 - you'd be happy there
Farscape - I like the humans, not the plastic aliens
Babylon 5 - Great if with Sinclair, neutral if with Sheridan, and if with whatshername, get me out of there

Firefly with dragons.

So cool.

Unsurprisingly, considering how badly it did as a series, everyone totally understands that description.

It was always popular with fans - and word of mouth was spreading the fannishness even then. It was the network that pulled the plug. The extraordinary thing is that the word-of-mouth fannishness never stopped.

unsurprisingly, I come out Serenity too.

My crewmate!

I think Torchwood would be most you.

That's not exactly flattering, given their level of competence and behaviour! On the other hand, I am vaguely flattered anyway, and would like to be there.

Thanks for catching the JB thing on CBC! I always enjoy his interviews.

*I remember heads being plugged into gadgets

Yuck! Tho I'm sure it was very helpful, I do not wish to be a gadget.

*SG-1 - you'd be happy there

Yes, but only if I got script and direction control!

*Farscape - I like the humans, not the plastic aliens

Agreed. The quiz said I was that blue woman who moaned a lot. AAAACCCCKKKKKKK! I think she was some kind of vegetation.

*Babylon 5 - Great if with Sinclair, neutral if with Sheridan, and if with whatshername, get me out of there

I'm for Sinclair only, and there were cool bits in some of the rest of the seasons. After Season 1 I think it lost all sense of direction, which was totally proved correct with that absolutely ghastly ending.

I was actually thinking more opf their ability to rise to the occasion (even if they screw up the first time, they eventually succeed), and their flexibility in reacting to the really strange.

Firefly here, too. I think the question about living on the frontier was what did it. I noticed Star Trek: Voyager wasn't on the list, just Picard's Enterprise.

That would make sense - though the truth does, I don't fancy living on the frontier at all. But I do like the sense of freedom and autonomy and defiance that you see on Firefly.

Yes, I like those things, and the sense of community they eventually build. Also the sense of seriously investigating serious issues while still having a capacity for play.

Or maybe I just want a pet pterodactyl.

only if I got script and direction control!

Aaah - we wish!

The quiz said I was that blue woman who moaned a lot. AAAACCCCKKKKKKK!

Spittin image. I knew it all along.

After Season 1 I think it lost all sense of direction, which was totally proved correct with that absolutely ghastly ending.

And what a pity. I wish it had been a two-season series, with Sinclair all the way, and much less rambling.
