That needed to be so much more convincing than it was. Twelve episodes had been spent establishing the deep personal love and loyalty the Torchwood team felt for Jack - and their faith in him - and it's overturned in ten minutes by unconvincing visions? It seemed extremely odd.
Yeah, it was just... odd's the only word I can think of to try to explain it. And, frankly, I was shocked by Owen's sudden deep unabiding love for Diane in E12 and e13. I had no clue he was supposed to feel that way, I had quite a bit of trouble believing it. And Gwen's insanity over Rhys? Err... didn't really feel that either (especially how she runs home at the end, kisses him, says wait a sec, and then spends 3 days in the morgue? Huh?)
Bilis was a GREAT bad guy. Utterly creepy, with that accent and the way he looked through people. Add in the time travel and the fact we don't know what happened to him after abaddon died and you have an excellent recurring villian!
