Watched an interesting short film called Rachel's Dream, starring Christopher Eccleston and Kate Beckinsale - and just in case those two aren't attractive enough, throw in the utterly beautiful Anna Patrick.

The story was very simple but surprisingly meaty, reminiscent of Blade Runner, which it makes tribute to. In a near-future distopia, a beautiful girl named Rachel dreams of an archetypcal farmer, played by Christopher Eccleston, and the dream is conjured into reality with special effects that reminded me of the quickenings in Highlander and the teleportation in the Terminator movies. The farmer-savior attacks the poisonous pesticides of the powerful agricultural corporation. When the wealthy owner of the corportion sexually harrasses Rachel at a costume party, she is rescued by the farmer. She begs him to save her world and he tells her she must save her own world.

Subtle? No. But lovely to watch, and nicely stated.

And my goodness, Eccleston is great to watch.
