I can imagine. Summarizing a story of that scope.... It would be like summarizing 45 years of X-Men while just looking at one issue. A Feast for Crows (the most recent book) would make it even more confusing, because a lot of the viewpoints and stories are of completely different settings than the other books, and characters who are central to the other books (like Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister, and Dani) are completely missing.
