Don't forget all the toothy, Sharky goodness. :)

Oh, dear; now I'm hearing "Mack The Knife."

There are worse things than "Mack the Knife". I have been in search of the Sting version of that song that I loved so much; sadly, it doesn't seem to be available any more. It's become a quest!

I can supply Bobby Darin, Burton Cummings, Lotte Lenya [in German], & Ella Fitzgerald, but no Sting. If you ever find it, please let me know.

I have sort of tracked it down - it's from a recording I used to have called Lost in the Stars: The Music of Kurt Weill (http://www.amazon.com/Lost-Stars-Music-Kurt-Weill/dp/B000002GH2/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/105-1055960-4998814?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1187293929&sr=8-1), and it seems there's a sample of "The Ballad of Mack the Knife" as sung by Sting that you can listen to online there. (I can't here at work, will maybe try when I get home.) I loved that track - enjoyed the whole recording, in fact, but thought that was the best.

But the US price of the CD is currently beyond me, and they don't have it on amazon.ca. So it goes!

I see what you mean about the cd price.

Do you have any way to play a record? It's currently on eBay as an LP, with no bids [& $1 opening bid], but the auction ends tomorrow.

If you can play cassettes, it's here:

Hth.

No, I currently have no way to play a record.

Cassettes are a possibility, and tempting, but I think I might just save money for the CD. Thinking about it. It'll take a while, but I'd like to have it.
