Temptation
Faeries usually haunt groves, not fountains in the middle of modern cities.
Jack stood invisibly at the fountain, though the Faery could see him well. Water cascaded down behind them. "You’re different," said the Faery. She... he... it was glowing white, with shimmering wings. Trying to attract, not to repel. Hovering. "You’re pretty. Come with me."
"Not interested." Jack generally hated saying that.
"I offer you immortality."
"Already have it," said Jack. "A bad deal."
"I can offer you knowledge."
"How to find the Doctor?" Jack sneered. "That’s the only knowledge that could tempt me."
The Faery pouted, and flew off.
