A wonderful thing happened today. I got a gift in the mail, from someone I love dearly.¹ It's a copy of the brand-new hardcover book by Lois McMaster Bujold, the Sharing Knife: Legacy, and it's inscribed by the author:

I am totally thrilled by this.
