fajrdrako: ([Doctor Who] - Utopia)
[personal profile] fajrdrako

I got this quiz from [livejournal.com profile] kikibug13, who got it from [livejournal.com profile] wijsgeer, and I fully expected to be stuck with a hokey answer I wouldn't relate to in the least. To my surprise, I got - yes, really -

What is your spirit animal?

Dragon Spirit
Dragon Spirit
Your spirit animal is the Dragon.
Mystical, powerful, wise and strong-willed.
The dragon spirit is one built of leadership, strong decision making skills, and wise judgment. A dragon is a natural born philosopher and grand leader. The dragon need only keep his superiority complex in check, lest he lose the respect of those he desires most.
How do you compare?

Let's hear it for wise dragons!

"Deer" is a good one, but I loved "drgon" for its multilayered applicability!

Love the quote on your icon... not to mention what went before it.

(And I get to see "Utopia" again tonight with [livejournal.com profile] auriaephiala! Yay!)

P.S. The Deer and Dragon... could that be the name of a pub?

…Probably with a sign depicting the dragon feasting on said deer! ;-D

I know what mine are because I've met and spoken with them in dreams: ravens or crows. (It's interesting that, without recourse to any dubious substances whatsoever, I have had some of the classic key shamanic dreams.)

I rather liked getting deer. They are not in evidence here in Amsterdam, and it is probably telling that I envision one in a film rather than in 'real life'. A bit David Lynch like, driving along a a road, the sun has just set, wood on both sides of the road and there is the deer, looking at you, keeping track.

Also, I loved the Deer God in Princess Mononoke (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princess_Mononoke). Very much a powerful figure. A loner, mysterious. Not me ;-)

I did a guided meditation once that was supposed to show you your spirit animal.

I got a squirrel.

You never see *that* in quiz results!

OTOH...*points at icon*

Afterthought: not just roast venison, roast virgin venison.

Princess Mononoke was a beautiful movie.

There are a lot of deer around here. I have friends who complain that deer get into their gardens and eat things. Not right in the centre of the city, but in the suburbs and outlying areas. And of course, even more in the country.

Ravens and crows - interesting! I don't recall dreaming of dragons but I tend to make a point not to remember my dreams. I do recall the other night, dreaming of bowling shoes - "Why on earth?" I asked myself as I woke up, then realized that the day before that, I'd written a scene in a first draft of a Captain Jack story where he was wearing bowling shoes. The image must have stuck in my subconscious.

I once had a psychic tell me (while giving me a reiki treatment) that she saw a bear hovering over me. I rather wished it were a panda bear, but no, it was an ordinary brown bear. I'm sure it's bad form to sneer at one's own totem for being pedestrian and unromantic. I'll try not to.

A squirrel! That's an interesting one! No, I've certainly never seen it in quiz results. I'm sure it has great significance - somehow.

Squirrel. Huh.

Well, I try and look on the good side - intelligent, curious, very adaptable, survivors, talk all the time...oh, wait. *sheepish grin*
