I need a cover idea...
Jun. 15th, 2007 07:46 amI got an e-mail message this morning from Sheila, the CM of our apazine, Apaplexy. She said, "You said you'd do the covers for the zine this time, right? You said you'd do Torchwood covers. But of course, do anything you want."
I said I'd design the covers? When'd I say that? Was I drunk? (Note: that's a joke. I don't drink. Well, not much.)
But, okay, I can make the covers. (Frantic search for the cover stock, which I know I have in the apartment somewhere. Yes. Here. Got it. Whew.) And yes, I could do Torchwood pix. Twist my arm. But most of the Torchwood pictures I have are either screencaps, or photos of John Barrowman looking gorgeous1, or fan cartoons that wouldn't make a lot of sense to those who haven't seen the show. And they're here, I need something I can access from work.
I could use pictures of John Barrowman at CERN. A science or science-fiction angle is good for Apaplexy, though not, strictly speaking, necessary - just something that interests a lot of the people there.
Do you have any ideas? Suggestions? Inspirations out there?

I'll see if I can come up with some images. Promo pics on the BBC site? Article scans of hi-res from
