The Flowers of the Willow

The action had been constant for weeks. Ianto rushed into Jack's office. "Emergency!"

Jack grabbed his coat and ran. Ianto drove. Outside the city, he stopped at a field full of wildflowers, parking under a willow. They sprang out of the car. Ianto produced a wicker container and a blanket which he spread on the ground.

"What are you doing?"

"My workaholic boss urgently needs food and rest." Ianto reached into the basket. "Cheese and grapes?"

"Bastard," said Jack. "Kidnapper." He sat.

Ianto rested his head in Jack's lap, keeping him in place. "You can fire me later," he promised.

Ianto has a few advantages where Jack is concerned. These make it easy for him to con the con man.

I like the implications - that Jack has let his guard down with Ianto, and thesefore trusts him, and therefore can be tricked.

Inspiration didn't exactly strike but I dredged up the sad remnant of an idea and poked at it until it looked like something.
