Torchwood spoilers...
May. 23rd, 2007 11:57 amI'm usually totally spoiler-phobic, but I think I'm suffering Torchwood-withdrawal, and I threw caution to the winds and had to look at the new pictures at torchwood-tv. Pictures of the filming of an upcoming series 2 episode.
And am I glad I did.
Woo. Now I'm all excited again. (Only seven months to go, right?) It's not quite as exciting as the pictures we saw when they were filming Captain Jack and the Doctor in the same scenes for Doctor Who, but it's close.
Close.
Counting the weeks....

Do I smell character development?
(Although those photos had a stench of Tatooine about them, didn't they?)

I hadn't thought that - Star Wars references don't come readily to my mind - but I did think, "Hmm, suddenly Wales looks like North Africa," which I suppose is much the same thing.
Parents! Jack has parents!

Date: 2007-05-23 08:29 pm (UTC)Young Jack Harkness was interestingly, fittingly tall and weedy.
Wondering: what names will these three people be calling each other...?
It was a pure delight to read in The Few that the American flyers who joined up with the RAF did indeed (some of them) go to the 73rd Squadron. In "Captain Jack Harkness," our Jack amends his usual "I'm Captain Jack Harkness, 331st Squadron" into "James Harper, 73rd." The writers have indeed been fitting these people into history, finding the little cubbyholes and corners and filling them.

We may learn Jack's childhood name. (Names?) Or they may be "Mum", "Dad" and "Son". I wonder where they are? Will we get a planet of origin?

Cath Tregenna does her homework! Or, rather, Stephen Moffat did, because I think it was mentioned back in Doctor Who when Captain Jack first appeared. In any case, they took care to get it right - and so they should.
