The Unquiet Dead
When Gwen left the interrogation room, Suzie asked Jack the questions. "Why didn't you want me?"
"For Torchwood? I did."
"For sex."
"I was your boss. You had Owen."
"Owen." She scowled contemptuously. "I only wanted you. Kiss me."
A macabre challenge. "All right." He pushed his chair back. Rounding the table, he gripped her shoulders, bent and kissed her mouth. It wasn't a sweet kiss, or a gentle one. It was harsh and deep and cold.
He rose and turned away. "You taste like death."
"You think you're any different?"
"I'm totally alive. You can't even see the difference."
