Still fascinated by the language of flowers, I ordered a pile of books on the subject from the public library, though they won't be in for days.

Signe ([livejournal.com profile] oxoniensis) wrote a sequel to [livejournal.com profile] acampbell's "Say it With Flowers" dodecal, called Clark's Reply. So I had to look those flowers up too:

yellow roses = "decrease of love"
acacia = "friendship"
red tulip = "declaration of love"
and again, mock orange = "deceit"

I found a better website to look up flower meanings at The Language of Flowers.

So romantic, that Clark! And he doesn't have to say a thing, but tells his story. I love a happy ending.

Glad the meanings tallied! I did worry that different sources might have different meanings, but that's exactly what I got too.

Good! Maybe other sources do have different meanings, but I think there's a certain basic consensus.
