I love the piece. The alien... wasn't a PoV I'd have thought about :)
But I cannot agree with the perception of the alien. Dispassionate is the last way I see Jack, it may be just wishful thinking on my part, but it just isn't.
Of course, the alien's perspective just might be different. (Or perhaps I just cannot imagine anybody getting more 'passion' vibe from Carys's ex than from Jack ;) )
