Libraries just can't invest in something that maybe only one person would check out.
There are several books at the Carleton University library that I believe I am the only one who has ever checked them out since their acquisition - maybe 60 years ago. One book I got out a year or so ago, had a postcard in it as a bookmark. It was a postcard I'd received in about 1983. I'm pretty sure no one had checked out that book except me, ever. (It's written in Palestinian Old French. Don't see why that should discourage folks.)
We should open a library funded by lit addicts and buy all kinds of rare books.
