He's human after all. I suspected as much. It's nice to have it confirmed.
And actually, he plays Jack's dark and depressed side so well, you have to know he's experienced that too. As everyone has. It's just that he is so exceptionally good at putting on the exuberant persona in interviews and shows where he appears as himself. And obviously he works at keeping spirits up on the set. It isn't just his innate good nature, it's also professionalism.
