Ah... Delayed gratification has its benefits.
This piece is not office-safe. It's good all the rest have left...

'tis good. Definitely quite a lot of Lestat (as you said, from some of the books), a wee bit of Marius; and there is a lot more of Jack. My associative brain kept referencing me in the first half (e.g., when Ianto pushes Jack, I had a flash of Dirty Dancing, when Johnny is explaining to the boss boy about new dance moves, and the boss boy said, "Whoa, boy... you're well over your head here"; or, on the comments about 21-st century reactions, I could almost hear Elton John's song from the soundtrack of El Dorado "Sixteenth century man"). Which adds more depth, for me, to the experience of the text.

You also have the skill that I greatly admire, to manage gently to have me... laughing out loud when I should be choking up with tears. Wonderful.

Then the rest... :) *grin* *grin* *blush* *grin*... well, you get the picture. When Ianto asked "Is this sexual harassment", my reaction was, "No, you. It's sexual healing!"

Good work. I definitely enjoyed it, and it had a wonderful build-up of energy, release... and return of things _almost_ back to normal.

Back to my personal mantra... Why aren't there more men like Jack Harkness around?
