fajrdrakoLa Perdida by Jessica Abel is a riveting graphic novel about a young American woman named Carla who goes to live in Mexico. Aimless and undirected in her life, she wants only to learn about the country and be accepted by the Mexicans. Naive and gullible, she traps herself into a situation she could never have imagined. ...Some of the first third of the story dragged in the set-up, this isn't a quick-to-the-point action story. But it was hypnotically convicing.
