Though I really, really enjoyed the movie (and the characters) I found it somewhat difficult to follow - to figure out who characters were and how they related to each other. There was a lot of guesswork involved.
Here he is on Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000FTP36M/sr=1-14/qid=1155319278/ref=sr_1_14/202-3332417-4762218?ie=UTF8&s=kids). Forbidden Planet has him cheaper.
And there's this (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000FHAFQW/sr=1-3/qid=1155321124/ref=sr_1_3/202-3332417-4762218?ie=UTF8&s=kids), with a remote-controlled K9!
Thanks for reminding me of that Ten/Mal comparison. It's brilliant. And have you seen bellanut's other DW posts. Another hour of my life that I'll never see again. *g* Look - freckles! (http://bellanut.livejournal.com/141482.html#cutid1). ::drools::
I confess: I was browsing bellanut's LJ a little today, but I am at work and I am supposed to be working so I didn't do it much, just ten minutes or so.... I can see I still have a lot of happy browsing to do before the next season starts.
Freckles. Yes. Happy sigh.
When it comes to this fandom, I seem to be insatiable.
Another thing Nine and Ten have in common: they're both absolutely beautiful, in that perfect, lucid way that has a lot to do with looks and even more to do with personality and animation... almost as though there's a light behind their eyes. Almost like Elves, but not distant. Just... you know.... clear.

This to me is a reminder that the Doctor can see/sense/perceive the movement of the cosmos, the energy of atoms, the colours of time - whatever aspects of the universe there are that he can see that we cannot.
It's one of the few shows I know of where the ultra-intelligent and not-quite-human protagonist really seems ultra-intelligent and not quite human, both in his actions and in his looks.

And of course this is beautiful to see.
