"Which Doctor Who Character are you?" This time, I got the one I wanted, the most suitable one - and how many choices are there, anyway?

Heh. I got Rose Tyler. It's too bad that the quiz was rather obvious, answer-wise. >.>

Well, getting Rose would have been okay too. I was trying to answer honestly and I really thoguht I was going to turn out to be Captain Jack - no real problem there either, but I do identify more with the Doctor.

I got Jack, which was a bit of a surprise - had thought I was more Doctor-ish!

I would have thought so too - an interset in history is definitely a Doctor-like trait. But I would guess Jack is interesting in everything, so he's not dissimilar, except for the streak of vanity. (Which I don't think either of us have.)

Plus I'm a fully qualified unicorn-catcher.
Which is not at all like Jack!

I am Rose.

Am I realy? I don't think she is the one I identify most with. I think I am more Mickey. Behind the computer, others running a way, a tin dog feeling.

I would like to be Sarah Jane Smith. She is cool, even though she was a bit of the spurned lover in this series. (She has her own audio series, she is rather cool in those).

I've only seen Sarah Jane Smith in "School Reunion", and I liked her. Not just the spurned lover but the abandoned ally.

Rose and Mickey both grow on me every time I see them, and that's partly because of their interiour growth.

I can see you being like Rose: you have a lot of curiosity, and you often rise to the occasion when needed. But I can see why you would feel like Mickey - the Tin Dog - hampered by your form adn role.

No, not at all like Jack... though I'm not quite sure what the mythical analogue to Jack would be. I'll have to think about that!

I saw a Captain Jack joke online that I liked: "the 40-year-old virgin" saying to himself, "Where's Captain Jack when you need him?"

Rose as curious. Yeah I can identify with that. It is one of my main characteristics ;-)

I could never be the Doctor. I feel way too young for it, way not 'in control'. I tend to be the rescuee and not the rescuer. (Not helpless, just, well, clumsy).

Sametime, I could never be captain Jack. Lets say, my sexual field (that is the broadcasting strength of sexual vibes) is too small. Most of the time. When I am hypomanic I do get hypersexual and it feels like my sexual field covers the whole earth, no the whole universe! But when I am stable my sexual field is somewhat smaller than average I think, while during depression it is non existent, possible even sexual reppellant. I can't imagine Jack like that.

Yes: curiosity is one of my main characteristics too. I can see it in you because I see it in myself.

I could never be the Doctor. I feel way too young for it

Of course! Just wait another 900 years.

When I am hypomanic I do get hypersexual and it feels like my sexual field covers the whole earth, no the whole universe!

I can relate to that, in a small degree. I wonder what Captain Jack would be like, if he were to become depressed.

I wonder what Captain Jack would be like, if he were to become depressed.

I can imagine Captain Jack in a nasty agitated depression, with a ferocious sexuality, more getting and taking than the playfull loving like he is now. Not a pretty picture, but no depression makes one a nicer person.

Yes, I can imagine that too - Dark Captain Jack. Instead of a sort of universal love he would be manifesting sort of universal appetite; and manipulative. As you say, depression brings out the worst in us.
