Veronica Mars: Not Pictured...

Picture me with my jaw dropped. I just watched the Veronica Mars season-ender, "Not Pictured".



The title makes sense to me now. Oh my goodness....

I had to download: Sheila taped it for me, but she's been sick all week and couldn't come over and I couldn't stand waiting any longer. We will, if we can, watch it again tomorrow.

Fourteen points:

1. Logan. Logan all the way. Logan! I thought at the end that Keith, suddenly unable to go to New York with Veronica, would send Logan to the airport to meet Veronica and go to New York with her instead. But of course, Keith doesn't like or trust Logan all that much, even if he is vindicated of all murders and just saved Veronica's life.



2. So Logan is a poor boy now. What a letdown.



3. I absolutley loved the way neither Logan nor Veronica would let on that they were afraid of Aaron Echolls.



4. Beaver. Cassidy. Who'd have guessed he killed the bus? But there were clues.... he was always in the running as a suspect, or should have been. Which I see in hindsight, of course.



5. Chlamydia. I had been trying to figure how Veronica got it; I figured that Duncan must have been one of the boys on the softball team who was molested by Woody. But no! And Beaver raped her after all. Revelations all around.



6. I loved Beaver's last scene. He needed a reason not to jump.... and Logan had no reasons to offer him.



7. Duncan offed Aaron with a hit man! Wow! For Lily's sake? For Veronica's? For Kendall's? For reasons yet unknown?



8. What did Kendall show Keith in the briefcase that prevented him from going to New York with Veronica?



9. The one bit of cliffhanger I didn't fall for was the blowing up of the plane. I knew Keith Mars wasn't on it. I knew they wouldn't kill off Keith. They could have shown me Keith's decapitated body as they lowered it into a grave and I still wouldn't believe it.



10. We got a glimpse of Felicia! But only a glimpse. I've been missing her all season.



11. Have I mentioned how wonderful Logan was? And heroic too. (Happy smile.)



12. I loved the suspense, when Mac was with Beaver, Veronica was trying to find her, and Beaver lured Veronica to the roof....



13. I hated Lamb for taking Weevil right before his graduation. He couldn't have waited ten minute? That was so cruel.



14. How long do I have to wait for next season?

I think Logan may be rich again now that Aaron is dead.

Of course he may wind up being a suspect in Aaron Echolls murder.... and I can't imagine anyone is going to suspect CW......

Good point about Logan probably being the heir... unless he's thought to be the killer.

Oh man, I need to start watching this series. :) Is it in season two then?

Season two just ended. I'm thinking of buying the DVDs, which of course I would already have if I could afford them, which I can't. But. I love the show. The plots are clever, the characters delightful, and dialogue like this:

Veronica: Why can't the evil just get jobs like the rest of us?

or:

Dick: Mad-i-son. What you up to, girl? Feel like heading to my car for a quickie?
Madison: I've moved onto older men, Dick. Fewer quickies. More longies.

But don't listen to me, I'm biased.

I watched the pilot. Definite quick-witted dialog.

Oh, yes, I like the pilot. It's nicely substantial. And it sets up a lot of the significant themes. There's even one thing set up in the pilot that we don't fully learn the truth of till this week...
