Gift cards.

I looked at Daily Zen and got today's question:

Gift cards. Love them, hate them... prefer cash?

I love getting cards, particularly when it isn't a birthday or Christmas. Oh, I love them then, too, but it's all the more exciting to get a card in the mail when there is no real occasion.

A few weeks ago a friend sent me a card because she found one with my new credo printed on it in white on red - a quote from Helen Keller: Life is an adventure. This is now framed in my living room - a philosophical reminder, but it makes me smile too because it was a surprise from a friend.

Cash? No. I love getting cards.
