Is it springtime yet?

This morning I noticed buds on the tree outside my apartment. I look for signs of spring like a starving person.

Last weekend I went to Toronto, to the SF convention Ad Astra. I had a great time and want to talk all about it. At length. About many topics: creativity, seeing old friends, ideas, art. But the day after I got home I collapsed with a horrible flu, and was immobilized in bed for two days, watching DVDs of Grey's Anatomy when I could keep my eyes open. Eventually I was able to read, and immersed myself in the pile of unread comics that had been piling up by my bed. Finally I made it back to work... and exhausted myself trying to catch up on all the crucial work that heaped on my desk from the days I was off...

And now I'm behind on everything. Still tired, and coughing, but there's a certain low-key euphoria that takes over when the pain stops.

And if I don't clean up the apartment right now, I am going to scream.

Kitchen: done. Living room: done except for vacuuming, with a bonus detour to scrub Gambit and Logan's cage. Much chirping. Maybe that was what you heard. They're louder than I am, anyway.

Aww, poor sickling. :( I'd been missing you.

I haven't been sick since September. Fingers crossed? I think working in a library has built up my immunity to something ridiculous.

Oh, darn.
I've had the con crud or something like it since about Wednesday. Not letting it affect me much though ... a little sore throat, and some I-don't-wanna-ride-my-bike-itis.

I've been missing you, too! And if I hadn't been feeling too sick to care I'd be feeling stifled too - it's frustrating to have things you want to say and no evergy to say them.

The housework was very satisfying. Then I went for a walk to the closest set of stores (about a ten-minute walk away) to buy milk and yoghurt and when I got home I just collapsed. I was supposed to be going to a movie with maaseru and friends and instead I just crashed. Eee!

But the good side of it is: at least I woke up to a clean apartment. Almost respectable, even!
