It's on all the news feeds that Nicholas Cage has named his new son Kal-El.

I love this. Nicholas Cage just went way up in my estimation - I love Kryptonian names. Amazing how many people have them, at least in my part of the world, if you just listen to the words and don't worry about the spelling. I know people named Jo-El, Dani-El, Chant-El... And sometimes think of myself as El-Izabeth.

Acutally, I always thought that if I had a girl I'd name her Kara.

I know it goes against popular thought these days but I think people are way, way too conservative in naming their children.
