Prophecy...
Jul. 25th, 2005 08:28 pmI was reading
Clark
will be
Superman.
President Lex
will be the flaw that certifies the god.
I think the line about "the flaw that certifies the god" comes from T.H. White, but a quick search in my copy of The Once and Future King didn't come up with it. Does anyone know?

Help!

Date: 2005-07-26 03:19 pm (UTC)If/when you reread The Once and Future King, if you find something like the phrase I cited, do let me know where it is, okay?
My "to be reread" list is almost as massive now as my "to be read" list. Scary. And I'm still in the middle of rereading "A Song of Ice and Fire".
Oops...

Date: 2005-07-26 03:59 pm (UTC)I have a nit to pick though - the fourth line is supposed to be 4 syllables and yours has five. Please don't hate me for pointing that out. :-/

Date: 2005-07-26 06:30 pm (UTC)Had you noticed that my icons, apart from the obligatory Pixel pic which I rather superstitiously feel that I can't replace, both feature Jamie Bamber? Lee, and Archie. Yup, total Jamie fangrrl. :)
Re. TOAFK, it won't be any time soon. ::sigh::

Date: 2005-07-26 06:31 pm (UTC)Nothing wrong with that! Have you seen BSG season 2 episodes yet?
TOAFK, it won't be any time soon. ::sigh::
Not for me, either. I may forget what I was looking for.

Date: 2005-07-26 07:36 pm (UTC)Yes! Squeeee! Especially Valley of Darkness - Lee's reluctant heroics made me love him more than I already did. If that's possible. /fangrrl. *g*

Date: 2005-07-26 08:31 pm (UTC)I had a bad feeling about it when Gaius handed him the baby. I thought he was going to drop it or something. Accidentally on purpose, as it were. "Oops, sorry!" *snort*
BSG Valley of Darkness
Date: 2005-07-26 08:37 pm (UTC)So I did. And I loved every second of it.
I had a bad feeling about it when Gaius handed him the baby.
I was thinking of the scene in the Pilot (which I just watched again a couple of days ago) where Number 6 killed the baby. A sort of a creepy mini-theme. And with Boomer pregnant (even if Starbuck is skeptical!) that gives us interesting grounds for speculation.
Re: BSG Valley of Darkness
Date: 2005-07-26 10:07 pm (UTC)I finally posted about the two new eps, and what do I write about? Six and Gaius and The Baby. Heh! Where'd the Lee!squee go?
Re: BSG Valley of Darkness
Date: 2005-07-27 02:53 am (UTC)No, Gaius doesn't know that Six kills babies. But I think Six is behind Gaius' baby imagery and visions. What are those Cylons up to?
Re: BSG Valley of Darkness
Date: 2005-07-27 09:46 pm (UTC)Worry not, it's still here. It's just not being very articulate. *g* Which is strange because VoD is such a Lee!squeeful episode.
Two days till the next episode - three and a half till I get to watch it. Squeeee!
