I was reading [livejournal.com profile] alais's LJ and she was talking about a poetic form called the tetractys. Of course, having learned about it, I had to try it. So I wroke a Smallville tetractys and called it Prophecy.

Clark
will be
Superman.

President Lex
will be the flaw that certifies the god.

I think the line about "the flaw that certifies the god" comes from T.H. White, but a quick search in my copy of The Once and Future King didn't come up with it. Does anyone know?

The Once and Future King

That's the second mention on my flist in less than a week.

::resignedly adds TOAFK to the reread list::

Help!

Nice icon. But you knew that.

If/when you reread The Once and Future King, if you find something like the phrase I cited, do let me know where it is, okay?

My "to be reread" list is almost as massive now as my "to be read" list. Scary. And I'm still in the middle of rereading "A Song of Ice and Fire".

Oops...

Once again I forgot to log in to answer your message there. Um, that was me. As usual.

How interesting! That's really neat.
I have a nit to pick though - the fourth line is supposed to be 4 syllables and yours has five. Please don't hate me for pointing that out. :-/

Eek! I'll have to fix it. I'm good with words, but arithmetically challenged.

Okay, it's fixed now. Thanks for doing the counting for me.

Can't take credit for the icon, it's one of [livejournal.com profile] black_hound's little gems.

Had you noticed that my icons, apart from the obligatory Pixel pic which I rather superstitiously feel that I can't replace, both feature Jamie Bamber? Lee, and Archie. Yup, total Jamie fangrrl. :)

Re. TOAFK, it won't be any time soon. ::sigh::

Yup, total Jamie fangrrl.

Nothing wrong with that! Have you seen BSG season 2 episodes yet?

TOAFK, it won't be any time soon. ::sigh::

Not for me, either. I may forget what I was looking for.

Yes! Squeeee! Especially Valley of Darkness - Lee's reluctant heroics made me love him more than I already did. If that's possible. /fangrrl. *g*

Talking of [livejournal.com profile] black_hound's icons, she's just set up an AoS icon archive here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/black_hound/99124.html?view=552500#t552500).

I had similar reactions to Lee... and loved just about everyone; even Tighe, who was not a favourite before. And Starbuck 'at home' - heh; the whole episode was great, and I can't believe that they keep up the action/suspense/intensity at such a pace.

And I want Adama back! I miss him.

But you had Adama. Drowning a baby, no less. Heh.

I had a bad feeling about it when Gaius handed him the baby. I thought he was going to drop it or something. Accidentally on purpose, as it were. "Oops, sorry!" *snort*

So I did. And I loved every second of it.

I had a bad feeling about it when Gaius handed him the baby.

I was thinking of the scene in the Pilot (which I just watched again a couple of days ago) where Number 6 killed the baby. A sort of a creepy mini-theme. And with Boomer pregnant (even if Starbuck is skeptical!) that gives us interesting grounds for speculation.

Six the Baby Killer - but Gaius doesn't know about that little episode, does he?

I finally posted about the two new eps, and what do I write about? Six and Gaius and The Baby. Heh! Where'd the Lee!squee go?

I'm sure the Lee!squee isn't far away.

No, Gaius doesn't know that Six kills babies. But I think Six is behind Gaius' baby imagery and visions. What are those Cylons up to?

Worry not, it's still here. It's just not being very articulate. *g* Which is strange because VoD is such a Lee!squeeful episode.

Two days till the next episode - three and a half till I get to watch it. Squeeee!
