I got this one from
sparklebutch. It wouldn't be my first choice of culture in which to live - that would probably be the Harappan culture, or the ancient Egyptian - but it's pretty close, especially if you're thinking of the early period, the Minoans or Myceneans.

The Greeks were a more relaxed and artistically
refined sequel to the civilizations of
Mesopotamia. Yeah you're cool, but it wouldn't
hurt to shut up once in a while.
What is your ancient civilization?

Date: 2005-04-13 03:48 am (UTC)I like the Celtic art in their picture, too.
But I love so many ancient cultures that it would be hard to pin down a real favourite. I've been reading about ancient Greeks all spring, so it's suitable. My favourite is probably the Harappa culture but they are so mysterious and unknown - that's part of the appeal, like the Etruscans.
This 'ancient Greece' pic is nicely slashy though. Hurt/comfort.
