At work while everyone else is playing
Mar. 28th, 2005 10:46 pmMost of my friends are civil servants. They didn't have to work today. I did. Some of my friend spent the day watching The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and I was thinking of them as I spend my afternoon shredding several years' accumulation of pages of old accounts.
Lunch was fun, though. Met up with four slash friends and went to DuBarry's Chinese Buffet, where I managed to have tripe and squid at the same meal (heaven!) and not go too far off my diet. Coconut tapioca turns out to be good.
I've been in a good mood all day, despite being somewhat upset - does this sound too contradictory? - because a good friend is mad at me. We INFP people want to please everyone all the time, and fret when we can't. Of course we can't! So why can't I convince myself of that? My emotional response is to be angry in turn: how dare she try to bully me. How dare she make a fuss over something trivial. Unappreciative wretch!
With any luck, we'll both have cooled down and things will be okay by the time we next speak to each other.
In the evening I visited a bit with
Talked to Beulah on the phone about plays (since I can't afford to renew my subscription) and about Malta. Exciting.
I miss Smallville: I want a new episode. I also miss Lost, but I believe there's a new episode this week.
