I had a lovely day, and it's time to come back here. I've missed you all - and sorry I've gone so long without posting.

No point trying to catch up, though I may get back to things. After I recovered (oh so slowly) from a bad virus, I was incredibly busy. Still am. Here's a Day in the Life of [livejournal.com profile] fajrdrako:

6:30 a.m. Woke up. Thought about getting up to exercise. Thought about not getting up to exercise. Got up to exercise.

7:00 a.m. After trying unsuccessfully to get my CD player to work, I went to the exercise room with my Walkman and spent twenty minutes on the elliptical trainer while listening to A Civil Contract by Georgette Heyer. I have the feeling I never read this one before - that makes is a particular delight.

9:00 a.m. [livejournal.com profile] maaseru and [livejournal.com profile] maaboroshi came down to my place for breakfast: mushroom omelettes, chicken bacon, and coffee - breakfast in keeping with Phase I, Day 10 of the South Beach Diet, which I am following. I gave the birds pieces of spinach, which went over well, with much chirping.

10:30 a.m. [livejournal.com profile] maaseru and [livejournal.com profile] maaboroshi and I went to the St. Laurent Shopping Centre to walk. We pledged that this was to be an exercise expedition, not a shopping expedition. We walked, we browsed a little - saw some interesting furniture in Sears, including a table for giants. Then we went to the Knife Shop and I got a lovely fruit knife with bright blue handle and sheath, and a cutting board for vegetables with a double-bladed knife. What I wanted was Anduril and the Crown of Gondor and the small replica of the statue/shrine that guards Narsil - but what I really want is the full-size statue and Rivendell to put it in.

I also got a new wallet.

11:30 a.m. I went to the Silver Snail and got this weeks comics on my subscription: Lucifer #60 (with a cover by Mike Kaluta, gorgeous), 4 #16, Catwoman #41 and Young Avengers #2. Looking forward to them all. Hovered over the action figure of Captain Jack Sparrow for a while but didn't get it. It seems to be $2 more expensive than it was two weeks ago. Huh.

12:30 p.m. Home for lunch: vegetable salad with turkey, followed by raspberry jello.

3:00 p.m. Went to the Pho-Bo-Ga restaurant on Somerset to meet [livejournal.com profile] commodorified and our friend Alayne. Had beef soup - carefully avoiding the noodles. It was still delicious. Talked about fannish stuff, and the demonstration against the war in Iraq, and other significant matters like Samuel West and Sean Bean. After that, we went to Bubblicity, which was a real test of my endurance, since I like Bubble Tea more than most things in this universe. Wanting to avoid sugar - and I don't think you can get unsugared Bubble Tea - I ordered Lavender Tea, which turned out to be sweetened slightly with honey, and incredibly good.

Afterwards, I went to [livejournal.com profile] commodorified's place and saw some music vids - some gorgeous music vids - and learned that since Battlestar Galactica I am looking at Jamie Bamber with new eyes.

c. 7:00 p.m. - Walked home. Read and wrote (overdue) e-mail and did computer stuff. Researched hotels in Malta. Earlier I was thinking of booking at the Grand Harbour Hotel; but the British Hotel looks tempting. May fax them on Monday. Looked at pictures of Malta. Thought happily about Malta. Ended u being happily unproductive.

11:20 p.m. Went to bed. Good night, everyone!
