I went to see House of Flying Daggers today with Lyn and Beulah. We had supper at Nate's, and talked about Malta.

The movie was gorgeous. It's hard to say anything about it without spoilers - I love that; a movie where identities and relationships unfold as you go. It's a love triangle set in Imperial China, in a confrontation between an outlaw band (the Flying Daggers) and the government soldiers. It's a story about three people: and just looking at beautiful Zhang Ziyi as Mei or Takeshi Kaneshiro as macho Jin is a feast for the eyes.
