It's been a stange, good, busy week.... I spent more time than I should have writing my apazine, but it was fun - talking about Saylor's books, Smallville, The Iliad, The Bhagavad-Gita, a bunch of movies and TV shows, and I might even add a few things before printing it today.... I need a cover idea for the whole apazine, though.

I've got to the last Saylor novel The Judgment of Caesar. I'm almost sorry to have the end of the series in sight - not that I don't have tons of other stuff to read. I'm hoping for more of Caesar, as I love the say Saylor depicts him, and the way he keeps him tantalizingly in the story yet not part of it. In the last book (A Mist of Prophecy) we met Calpurnia, and I enjoyed that very much - she's actually good enough for Caesar - and I wouldn't say that about many other people!

Last night I didn't even get to see Smallville and I don't know if I'll be home early enough to see it tonight. Aargh! But anticipation increases pleasure, right?

Tonight I get to go to a wonderful restaurant, one I haven't been to for ages - Big Daddy's, on Fisher Avenue. It's Harry's birthday. I love celebrating brithdays, and it's a seafood place - this means I can probably have calamari. I can never get enough calamari. And as I recall, last time I was there, years ago, they had creme brulee for dessert. Yes, I know I made creme brulee on Saturday. That's okay. There's no such thing as too muich.
