Castle Waiting....

fajrdrakoReading of the day was Castle Waiting, Vol. 1. It was delightful. Partly it's that the story is fun in its own right; partly it's that it's so different from most comics today. Time and again, the characters are in a position to fight, and find a way to trick or elude their opponents without fighting. It's a wonderful fairy tale, with a 'once upon a time' setting that has references to "The Wizard of Oz" and a modern sensibility.
It reminds me of Bone, but it isn't like Bone.
