Happy New Year...

On the last night of the year...

• Saw Skyfall again today. Will I never tire of that movie? Maybe, but not for a while yet!
  
  
• Went with maasru to T&T for a Dim Sum brunch. It was magnificent: I had congee and squid. Then I sat reading while the others brought groceries there - later wished I'd got kale, but that's okay. I can get it later.
  
  
• Went to Costco, mostly for food, though I also got worm work-out trousers and an orchid, and one more Paleo cookbook. Also to Future Shop (to browse), and Shoppers Drug Mart (for bus tickets). It was a beautiful day: slippery for walking, but milk, with thick, fresh snow everywhere, and already snowbanks too high to see over in some places. It was snowing again when we came home in the early afternoon.
  
  
• On getting home, I cleaned out the refrigerator and washed it, then put in all my new foods and veggies set it up for the Paleo diet I'm starting tomorrow.
  
  
• Then I took down my Christmas decorations and put them away in my locker till next year. Noticed that the box which holds my Christmas tree doesn't say it's a "Christmas Tree", it calls it "Holiday Topiary" - Topiare de Noel in French. It's all decorated with white poinsettia and golden balls... Doesn't have a star on top, though. I added my own red ornament on top this year, along with a white dove and a green peacock.
  
  
• Lovely, lovely supper of salmon sashimi and unagi and other lovely things from T&T. Pim and I were looking up other movies that Ben Wishaw and Daniel Craig were in. Fannish fun.
  
  
• And now I go to spend the rest of New Year's Eve exactly the way I wanted to spend it: doing yoga and meditating. The new year awaits and I'm feeling happy about it. But - 2013! It's like a number out of science fiction.
