Rain...

A rainy day. Cool, too. But after the hot, dry summer we've been having? It's bliss.

I'm on my way to the gym. Treated myself to the bus today: feels like luxury, too.

On my way to the bus stop, a cop complimented my panda umbrella. That made me smile. Both the compliment and the pandas.

Lisa's Birthday...

Met a cute dog at the bookstore today - a border terrier named Oscar.



This was on the way to my friend Lisa's place. We had a mostly-vegan dinner in their garden, then went indoors to play Boggle and Quick Word. Margot won.

It was Lisa's birthday, and I gave her three books: a travel guide to Istanbul (with maps), The Chocolate Lover's Diet, and Into the Fire by Suzanne Brockmann. I feel it my duty to keep her supplied with light reading.
