A good day, but so very much not the day I'd planned.
I'd planned to have a good brunch with

Nope. None of it.
First, the brunch was cancelled. Then I made banana muffins and Pim came over for one and asked in passing, "Would you like my old IKEA wardrobe? I don't want it any more."
And only last week I'd been wishing I had a wardrobe, because if I had one, I could put my clothes in it and maybe put my comic books into the closets and free up my bedroom space again. So I figured I'd have to start saving for one, once I got a job. And here was Pim offering me one. For free.
Of course and said yes.
And bonus? She assembled it for me. Wotta friend.
But to make room for it in the bedroom I had to move a bookcase into the living room, and moving books is... difficult. While she was assembling the wardrobe I was sorting and shelving books - I'm rather happy with it now: all the hardcover Dunnett novels are on the top shelf of my biggest bookcase, all the Esperanto books are together at last, the Marvel hardcovers and TPBs are on two adjacent shelves, and there's a little section for Diana Wynne Jones beside the section for Lois McMaster Bujold.
I still haven't found my mislaid copy of Shards of Honor, but that's another issue.
So when all that was done, there was laundry, and setting up the new wardrobe with clothes - it's really very nice. Just not what I'd planned for today.
Tomorrow... work. Much work.
