Good things:
- I wore my grey panda jacket. For the first time, I was able to fasten all the buttons without any straining. It might actually fit me now.
- I got my laundry done. I'm always happy when that's over.
- I did most of my French homework (due on Monday) and enjoyed it mightily. Part of the lesson is about Le Lotus bleu by Hergé, which I just happen to have on hand, so I was reading it again.
- I did the French study at my mother's old table in the window - it's usually where the bird cage sits, but I moved it for a while. That was lovely. Must work there more often.
- Had lunch at Swiss Chalet with
maaseru and
redmtl, and saw their postcards of the maritimes, and some of their pictures.
- Enjoyed work. Actually got things done. Solved a few problems.
- Burned some DVDs with DVD Flick - successfully. Or so it seems.
Not so good things:
- Got soaked walking to work in the rain, and ultimately my favourite Gore-Tex jacket let me down: after handing in my office all morning, when I went to put it on, the arms had soaked through in exactly the way they aren't supposed to do, so I was wet and cold all the way home. Does Gore-Tex wear out? I suppose it doesn't matter: the coat is rather too big for me now anyway and it would be nice to get a new one that fit better. So that is a good thing.
- They say it may rain tomorrow, ruining the Great Glebe Garage Sale, which I've been very much looking forward to. ...Or maybe it won't. I never trust weather forecasts.
Does anyone know whether Charles de Lint's yard sale is on this year? Or when?
