Monday:
- It snowed all day. Not heavily, just prettily. I did a fair amount of walking - without fear. It gets better all the time.
- Went to Merivale by bus (in the snow) to deliver a job application, reading Runciman most of the way.
- Went to Byward Market to buy haggis for the haggis party I'm holding February 12. I can't think of anything particularly Scottish to tie the date to - it may just have to be a delayed Burns supper.
- Lisa and Lynne came over for our Monday evening get-togethers in which we sort out our lives. It went very well. Progress, I think, for all of us.
Twelve inches...

I practised and I practised and I practised. On red wool intended for that purpose.
And then last week I started work on the alpaca. I got a little lost in the pattern at one point and thought I could brazen it out by fixing it later, but no, it was getting a bit too free-form. So yesterday I unravelled about 4" and continued.
Today I realized it's about 12" long already.
I am not a brilliant knitter1 but this is fun.
1 Yet.
