Worked more on my web pages, rather obsessively. Collected more stories to put up. Can't believe how much I have written.

Had breakfast at Roast'n'Brew with [livejournal.com profile] maaseru and [livejournal.com profile] explodedteabag. I had bean salad, since most of their breakfast fare involves wheat. I also indulged in a latte - what decadent fun!

Then we went to Costco, where I spend too much money on (mostly) food, and a gorgeous book of birds, where there's a button to push to hear what the bird sounds like. Reminds me of a kid's playbook, but more serious.

Then to Pet Smart for millet for the Little Feathered guys, but we got distracted looking at the tiny cute fuzzy hamsters and the dogs having playtime in the Pet Hotel. I was quite taken with a Jack Russell Terrier. They had budgies and finches - some very beautiful finches - but no canaries.

Then we went home, and moments later Lil and her mother came to visit. We sat and talked for a while, mostly about movies.

Then Beulah picked me up and took me to a chicken dinner at Tasia's place, with the chicken Vince brought from British Columbia, from his own organic chicken farm. Delicious! Nine of us on Tasia's patio in the sunshine, with loads of food and good talk. I promised to explain Iron Man 2 to [livejournal.com profile] duncanmac because he said he didn't understand what was happening very well. But we really didn't have time to talk about it. I wore my Spike T-shirt (Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, bot Cowboy Bebop - though I wish I had a shirt with that Spike on it, too). This led to a conversation and a proposal to have a video-party featuring Buffy episodes which feature Spike. Everyone thought this was a great idea.

Home. Tired. But tomorrow is Victoria Day Holiday, which is a nice thought.

They're building a castle in Arkansas, using medieval methods.

That is so very cool.
