I could (and maybe will) think of better questions for a meme like this, but this is standard and therefore has a sort of traditional, classic feel to it.

The questions and the answers... )

fajrdrako: ([John Barrowman])

Yesterday's mail came late, and I didn't pick it up till this morning. There was an envelope from the UK, with no identifying marks, though now I look closely, I see it came from a Welsh post office.

Some years ago, John Barrowman told his fans that if they wrote to him for an autographed photo, he'd send one, though it might take some time. Of course I wrote. (Fangirl, fangirl, that's me.) And in the meantime I've got his autograph on two books and a postcard, and even got one of them in person. I'd pretty much forgotten I ever wrote.

And today, in this envelope... A photo of John Barrowman that is absolutely gorgeous, and his autograph on it.

The day started out being rather rotten, and this has cheered me up totally.

Gotta find a frame....

Let’s make a TARDIS wave throughout LJ.
When you see this entry, post a picture of the show (aka Doctor Who) on your own journal.

This picture of Ten and the TARDIS comes from "Forest of the Dead", episode 4x10, one of my least favourite Doctor Who episodes of all time. But that scene, the very end of it, was magnificent. Makes my heart swell. The Doctor - based on something River Song said to him - discovers something he can do with the TARDIS that he had never done before.

I think I'm a bit of a Doctor/TARDIS shipper. I love that TARDIS.

Holmes...

Tonight I watched Holmes again with [livejournal.com profile] maaseru and [livejournal.com profile] explodedteabag. Thoughts:
  1. That movie is incredibly beautiful visually.
  2. I am madly in love with Kelly Reilly as Mary Morstan. And she's only in the movie for a few minutes.
  3. The plot is absurdly silly. The script is sly. Some of the most outrageous innuendo ever.
  4. Watson outshines Holmes. Who'd have expected that?
  5. The credits are amazing. Here's a sampling. I'd love to find wallpaper-sized copies of this - but I suppose all I have to do is wait for the DVD to come out, and get screencaps.
